Colin and Sergio’s wedding at Jonkers Farm was nothing short of legendary—a celebration of love, creativity, and pure magic set against the wild beauty of the Waitākere Ranges. Having filmed Colin’s unforgettable proposal back in 2013, it was an incredible full-circle moment to capture their wedding day, which was every bit as bold, beautiful, and full of heart as they are.

Both grooms spent the morning getting ready together—sharing laughs, nerves, and all the excitement to come.  I feel really honoured that I was there with them in those quote moments, and they felt comfortable enough to share that with me.   They made a grand arrival by helicopter (and so did I, lol), landing in the hills before walking into the forest where their intimate ceremony took place, surrounded by towering native trees and their closest loved ones.

As the sun set, the real party began. A sprawling stretch marquee hosted the celebration, complete with a light-up dance floor, drag queen performance, and one of the most jaw-dropping fireworks displays we’ve ever seen—blasting high above the ranges as Rihanna’s Diamonds in the Sky lit up the night. With Colin’s flair as an event director and Sergio by his side, the day was perfectly planned, wildly fun, and deeply meaningful. An unforgettable celebration of love, pride, and pure joy.
