Tuvaluan Wedding

Over the 12+ years we’ve been capturing weddings, we’ve had the pleasure of filming countless beautiful Pasifika weddings. But this Tuvaluan wedding was truly a first for us—and it was an experience we will always cherish. Held in a charming church in Henderson, with its glorious vaulted timber ceiling, the ceremony was not only breathtaking but full of meaningful traditions and heartfelt moments.

One of the unique customs of the Tuvaluan culture was the removal of shoes before entering the church. Interestingly, this wasn’t just for the bride and groom; it included the entire bridal party, guests, and even the videographer and photographer! This thoughtful practice created a wonderfully intimate atmosphere, where everyone felt connected to the sacred space and to the significance of the day.

From the cultural traditions to the joyful celebrations that followed, this wedding was a beautiful reflection of love, family, and community. We are truly grateful and honoured to have been part of such a special occasion, and we’re excited to share these unforgettable moments with you.
