The Session

A relaxed warm-up for the big day.

It’s a relaxed, no-pressure way to get comfortable in front of the camera before the big day – think golden hour walks, easy laughter, and genuine connection. Gorgeous content ready to go for your Save the Dates, wedding website and invites, or simply having beautiful film & photos of this chapter of your story.

Wherever you choose, your location could be special or meaningful to you – where you first met, your proposal spot, or the mood you want for your wedding day.

01 Where can we go?
We’re based out south in Wattle Downs, and travel north to Kumeu and south to Pokeno (Waiheke or beyond adds a travel charge). Time of day and light matter too; we’ll go over all the options beforehand to find the perfect spot.
02 What do we wear?
Whatever you like — but outfits that complement each other and your environment make all the difference. Think about the mood or theme you want to create and go from there. Bring a few options if you’d like, but limit them so session time goes to shooting, not changing.
03 How long will the photos and video take?
Usually you’ll receive your finished images, video and raw footage within 2 weeks via gallery link and Dropbox download. During peak season it may take a little longer — we’ll let you know.
04 How many photos do we get?
All quoted image quantities are the minimum — there’s usually more! Engagement sessions are minimum 30 images, lightly re-touched (teeth & blemishes if you’re that way inclined) and colour graded.
05 What if it rains or we have to reschedule?
All good! If it rains we can decide together to reschedule or just go with it — rain in slow-mo can be awesome! If we do reschedule, we’ll find a time that suits us both. Cancellations within 48 hours of your booking are non-refundable.
