As a business, Gray and I have been wondering for a long time whether we should delve into doing both film and photos for our couples.  For years we have turned away couples so we could specialise in crafting incredible films, but lately we have been thinking that it is not such as huge step away from what we usually do.  In fact, this is the best little add-on that we can think of to perfectly complement what we do with our films!

So, we decided 2019 would be the launch of doing photography, and I’m so privileged that it was this wedding that would be my first “official” gig where I hang up my videographer hat, and put on my photographer hat.

This is the wedding of my younger first cousin, Lauren.  When I was 17-ish, I used to live with her and her 2 sisters and brother and my Aunty + Uncle.  It was a wonderful and transitional time for me.  Not quite ballsy enough to go flatting, but old enough to want to leave home and attempt being grown up.  She was around 5 or 6 years old at the time, and I never imagined then that she would grow up, have babies of her own, and get married.

On Saturday, 2nd February – she married her soulmate, Sam.  They didn’t want posey posed, 1-2-3 jump photos.  They didn’t want lots of photos of “things”.  They, wanted lots of candid shots of themselves, their family and friends they loved most, and she wanted me to hurry up so I could put down the camera and join the party.  Done! 😀
